Hatchlings and The Elephant Room are two promising, emerging Irish bands. The two outfits share the bill on Friday 26th of April in Odd Mollies, Drogheda.

Hatchlings is a collaborative project made up of five multi-instrumentalists and songwriters. Hailing from different pockets of the border counties the band formed in college at Maynooth University. Hatchlings have released one EP to date, ‘Montessori’, and are due to release their second in Spring 2019.
Their sound consists mainly of folk and jazz infusions, while remaining pop conscious. There is also a raucous element to their sound which can be heard at several times throughout Montessori. The band has been compared to Grizzly Bear, O Emperor, and Villagers.
Formed in 2017, The Elephant Room is a Lo-Fi, Indie-noise band collectively from Wexford, Cork and Drogheda currently based in Dublin, composed of Frank, Shane and Ian. With tight rhythms, warm and occasionally noisey guitars and catchy vocals, addictive melodies and thought provoking lyrical content is an underlying theme of their craft.
