Guinness World Record Quiz Marathon in Drogheda Raises Funds for Irish Heart Foundation

A unique fundraising challenge is coming to Drogheda this November as local quizmaster Graham Brodigan attempts a 36+ hour Guinness World Record quiz marathon at The Black Bull, all in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation.

Taking place from 9:00am on Friday, 13th November through to 9:00pm on Saturday, 14th November (and potentially even longer), the ambitious challenge forms part of Graham’s wider mission to raise €10,000 before taking on the Irish Heart Foundation’s Arctic Challenge in March 2027, which will see participants travel 350km north of the Arctic Circle.

Throughout the record attempt, teams and individuals are invited to take part in the non-stop quiz. Participants can book 2-hour or 4-hour quiz slots, while solo players are welcome to join and will be paired with others to form teams. Spectators are also encouraged to drop in during the event, enjoy the atmosphere, and make a donation towards the fundraising effort.

Adding to the excitement, a charity raffle featuring more than €4,000 worth of prizes will run alongside the event. Raffle tickets cost €5 each, with the winning draw taking place on 14th November.

Whether you’re a quiz enthusiast, looking to support a worthy cause, or simply curious to witness a Guinness World Record attempt in action, this promises to be one of Drogheda’s most memorable community events of the year.
